Cheap & Easy DIY Ribbon

I have always loved the Christmas decor featuring all the ribbon, but I cannot bring myself to pay for it!!! I originally got this idea from @drabtodreamy and thought it was genious! It takes some patients but it is worth it!! Read below for how to create your own Christmas ribbon!!

Here I used my ribbon on my mantle

1. First go to the material section at your local thrift store, this may take a while to find the right material- I look throughout the year not just at Christmas!!

2. I found the more silky thin material to work the best! I also bought a green velour that worked okay.

3. Start to cut a strip at your desired width, then rip the rest of the strip to give it a more organic look.

4. Now you decorate!!!

These are the two pieces of material I found

I decided to use two strips tied in a bow as my tree topper

And wrapped them in a bow around my sconces!

it's that easy!! You can also use them to wrap around your Christmas gifts! Hope this inspires you to go out and find some material for next Christmas! It's never too early to start planning!!
